Who we are

The Okunland Farmers’ Development Initiative (OFDi) Nigeria with Registration No: CAC/IT/No 79119 of Jully 07, 2015 is a Non-Govermental, Non-Political, Non-Secterian and Not-For-Profit Oganization with Head office in Odo-Eri, Yagba West LGA, kogi State and field offices in other parts in Nigeria.

Agriculture remains a core concern of the rural community, hence farmers need to be targeted to benefit from development initiatives. Despite the fact that smallholder farmers play key role in nation building and food security, they face numerous challenges including difficulties in accessing cultivable lands; improved seeds and seedlings; accessing other input and financial services; agricultural extension and technology transfer; lack the experience and knowledge of market information; lack business management and entrepreneurial skills; lack information about weather conditions. OFDi is a platform to interact and share experiences, challenges and solutions among farmers, farmers’ organisations, private and public sectors as well as NGOs and development institutions.

Our Core Values

Service to the Vulnerable and Excluded

Work with all persons irrespective of their social standing, gender, ethnicity, religious affiliations, and disability;

Harness and energize people’s power to provide a platform for key actors to connect with farmers and socially marginalized groups;

Resourcefulness and Innovation
Efficient and effective use of resources for sustainable development of the organization, farmers and communities. Be creative and innovative in the pursuit of our vision.
